  1. This is a port of a basic FTP client from the unix world.

  3. I consider it a direct replacement for the ftp.exe found in
  4. Windows95, but it's got more features. It's placed in the public domain, and
  5. I will release the source code with all relevent copyright notices intact.

  7. This is merely an interim release to allow testing.
  8.  
  9. Note Well: the getpass function in this release does not obsfucate the
  10. password. To be corrected shortly.
